Creates a slight texture or tooth, over smooth surfaces for easier paint adhesion.
Apply over dark colors or surfaces when basecoating in a lighter color-results in fewer layers of paint.
Can be used to fill in slight imperfections in wood.
Ideal for paper mâché, canvas, floor cloths.
Do not use on tile and glass.

Helpful Hints:

Gesso is ideal for preparing unusual surfaces for painting (masonite, tin cans, recycled potato chip cans, shortening cans).
May be sanded when dry for an even smoother surface

Creates a slight texture, or tooth, for easier paint adhesion on both porous and non-porous surfaces. Dries clear and matte (non-shiny). Ideal for wood, paper mâché, paper, terra cotta, plaster, resin and bisque. Do not use on glass and tile. Helpful Hints: All surfaces should be free of rust, dirt, and dust prior to sealing. Sealing wood will slightly raise the grain creating a fuzzy texture. After the sealer has dried, lightly sand using fine #400 sandpaper to smooth wood grain.
