This mechanism works well with my 12" hands with smooth operation and no "tick-tock" sound, but it is NOT silent as I've come to notice. It is quite a bit quieter than a normal mechanism, but this one does make a higher frequency "ti-ti-ti-ti" sound. To me, it's just as annoying as the normal tick-tock from standard mechanisms, and I find it hard to ignore when it's quiet in the room. Since I mainly purchased this mechanism because it was advertised as silent, I give it 3 stars.

Amazing customer service before and after I placed my order! A nice young lady helped me pick the right items for the 30" spool clock I was making before I placed my order and after the order I had to change the delivery method and someone else help me by changing it without any complications. The clock turned out amazing!! I am beyond happy!! It works perfectly, was easy to put together and is silent!

I purchased a 42" clock from a reputable online retailer and the clock is beautiful, but it arrived with a dead movement. I ordered the Q-67 silent, continuous sweep, high power movement to replace it and I couldn't be happier. The clock keeps perfect time and it is indeed silent and has not step motion.

I ordered the Silent Continuous Sweep Clock Movements to make my large clock with 12" hands. I am so happy with the turnout of the clock. It works fantastic. Quiet as can be. I hung it on my shop wall to see what it would look like. The customer loved it. I will definitely be ordering again.

Tips

Install a FRESH Duracell or Energizer Battery (But not a rechargeable type). In our experience, these are the only batteries that are reliable for clock mechanisms. Sometimes you will even try a separate pack as not all new packs have perfect batteries.
