Shipping Details
We ship orders Monday through Friday, with most items dispatched by the end of the next business day. Express Orders placed before 12:00 PM Pacific Time are shipped the same day.
Products ship from either our warehouse in Pacific Northwest, or from one of our production facilities that are spread throughout the US.
When a shipping label is made by our warehouse, you will receive an email with your tracking info. Check your spam folder too!
Shipping is by weight and provided at or BELOW our cost. We believe it is most fair to provide fair prices, rather than absorbing the cost of all shipping.It is the responsibility of the customer to cover the cost of any applicable duties/import fees.
Products and Orders
Contact us using the form on the bottom of this page and we can discuss payment on account options for businesses, schools, and other institutions.
Not everyone will be accepted, but we will happily discuss it.
For Schools - we'll take a Purchase Order anytime by Fax or Email.
Many products have quantity discounts - buy more, save more!
A) Note the "Per 100 or Per 25 or Per 1000 or Each" comments you see in the name of the product and below the grid that displays pricing info.
B) If the item says "Per 100" then Quantity of 1 means you get 100 pieces of the item.

We always aim for make sure our customers love our products, but if you do need to return an order, we’re happy to help. Just email us directly and we’ll take you through the process.
It depends on the creator and the product. All options are outlined on the product page, so look out for customization options there.
Bear Woods Supply provides high-quality, USA-made wood dowels, wood plugs, and wood buttons to woodworkers across North America.
Some dowels are available as single pieces, but most are sold in case quantities to meet minimum production requirements (approximately $200 for dowels). All hardwood dowels — except Birch and those marked as “Singles” — are made to order in the USA.
Wood plugs and wood buttons sold in quantities of 1,000 are special order items and made to order in the USA. Bags of 100 are stock items and ready to ship. If you need a different quantity, contact us and we’ll do our best to help.
Special Orders
Items marked “Special Order” are produced after your order is placed and must be prepaid. Estimated lead time is typically 2–4 weeks before shipping. Once production begins, orders cannot be cancelled.
Special order items are non-returnable unless defective and reported within 7 days of delivery. Return authorization is required.
Shipping rates shown at checkout are estimates, as wood weight can vary slightly. Any necessary adjustments will be made at the time of shipment.
If you have timing requirements, please let us know when placing your order so we can confirm availability.
Return Period:
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange.
Please ensure the product is in its original condition, including all packaging.
Conditions for Returns:
- Items must be unused and in the same condition as when received.
- All original packaging must be intact.
- The item must be returned within 30 days from the delivery date.
Non-Returnable Items:
Some items cannot be returned, including but not limited to:
- Special Order Dowels & Plugs
- Closeout / Clearance Products
- Plans / Books
Return Process:
To initiate a return:
Contact us at Service@bearwood.com within 30 days of receiving your order.
Provide your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return.
Once your return request is approved, we will provide return instructions.
Return Shipping:
- You will be responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective, damaged, or we made an error with your order.
- If your return is due to a defect or an error on our part, we will cover the return shipping costs.
Refunds and Exchanges:
- Upon receipt of your returned item, we will process your refund to your original payment method or issue an exchange, depending on your preference.
- Refunds will exclude any original shipping fees, and a restocking fee may apply to certain items (if applicable). Please review the product page for specific information.
Damaged or Defective Items:
If your item is damaged or defective upon arrival, please contact us within 30 days to initiate a return or exchange. We will work with you to resolve the issue promptly.
Exchanges:
If you would like to exchange your product for a different item, please contact us. Depending on availability, we can process an exchange for you.
