Hello, I ordered this plan, and the 50's Power Wagon, as I was looking for a more detailed model rather than a toy. These looked to fit the bill and, on receiving them, am pleased to say that they are both even better than I expected. The drawings are full scale fully dimensioned drawings, and look to be of a professional standard. They are clear and easy to read with useful instructions. I would have no hesitation in buying more plans in the future. The process of ordering from the UK proved to be no more trouble than ordering from within the UK and the delivery, by small parcel airmail, took hardly any longer. One thing I would mention for UK buyers is that there is an import duty to pay on delivery which, in my case, for the two plans was Â£11.70 (about $15) but this in no way detracts from the quality of the plans which is excellent. Thankyou to BearWoods.

Ordered the plan for a 1929 Ford stake bed truck on a Wednesday, on the following Tuesday it was delivered. Was pleased with the time frame and the plane itself. I will go back to Bear Woods the next time I need an other plan for one of my projects.

The plans are well laid out and scaled perfectly. I 've built a couple of steam engines which I could never have designed with the detail you get with the Bear Wood plans; and now working on a couple of vintage trucks. They are excellent!

Saw this truck on YouTube and wanted the plan. Very detailed and easy to understand. As long as you take your time building you end up with a great toy. Have purchased the 1951 Ford pickup as well.
Will build both for my grandsons.

This will my second truck I build my first truck was a 1925 Ford flatbed truck though I havenÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t started yet and from what I the plans look very simple to read I canÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t wait to get started.

Tips

Each Toys and Joys Pattern is a full sized blueprint style pattern, complete with scale drawings and measurements of each part. You can also reference the tab "Recommended Parts" for some popular items required by the pattern that you can buy (or make).

Here's some tools we suggest that will help you to work with most of the Toys and Joys patterns.

Band Saw or other saw to cut the body pieces.
Drill Press
Power Sander: Disc Sander / Belt Sander Combination)
Table Saw
Router
Spindle Sander (Not required but can be useful)
Small clamps (Rubber Bands can be used in some cases)
Scroll Saw (Nice to have, but not required)
Lathe (Only required for a 3 models) (Locomotives, & Ready Mix Truck)
Some hand tools can be useful.

Plus of course some Glue - we recommend our Titebond Glue
