I got the 4.25" premium insert, I like the real brass and glass. This is a great size for a smaller wall or mantel clock

I bought the 4 1/4" clock insert to replace a clock that we have had for around 20 years. After 15 years, the original insert stopped working. Since then, I've replaced it with two inserts I've gotten from different suppliers. The first lasted 4 years, the second lasted less than two years. The problem with inserts is that if the clock movement fails, the inserts are hard to disassemble for repair. These replacement inserts have been all plastic and kind of cheaply made. The Bear Woods insert will be my third replacement. It seems well made - glass lens, brass. Only "time" will tell how many years the clock movement will last, but so far I am pleased. It looks great, kind of antique-like, and fits our decor perfectly.

This clock was a replacement for an outdoor clock in the garden. It fit perfectly and looks great!
