Swiss made Pégas Modified Geometry Scroll Saw Blades tooth design minimizes burning, tolerates aggressive feed rates, expels chips extremely fast. This leaves a smooth finish and cuts patterns accurately.

These Blades can be used on soft and hard wood. It is also well suited for plastic. If you are currently using Olson PGT or Mach blades you will love our Modified Geometry blades.

First time ordering from Bear Woods. I had read some good reviews of the Pegas Scroll Saw blades and wanted to try them on a project I was working on. I decided to try a couple of the sample packs and placed my order. Later that day I decided I was not 100% sure I had ordered the right blades. I called Bear Woods customer service and received great help from the representative. He was very knowledgeable about the Pegas blades and gave me some much needed advice on what blades would be best to try for my project. He was very pleasant to talk with and very patient with all the questions I had. He modified my order and I received the blades a few days later. The blades work great and are far better than any I have used in the past. I have since placed an order for more Pegas blades from Bear Woods and have already received them. I would highly recommend Bear Woods to anyone looking to purchase any of the products they carry.

These blades do cut faster, but that is not what I look at in a scroll saw blade, I am used to a different blade, that I have used for 2 or more years, these blades do cut faster, straighter, ie, your cut line is more perpendicular to the blade, but seem to make more dust or so I noticed that.
I will use them more and maybe do a side by side comparison of them, I tried them in some 3/4 oak I was working with at the time, and some scrap Baltic birch also, and I will try them some more.
Order a sample pack, and try them, that's the best way to learn about them.

I am on my second order of the Pegas blade pack and couldn't be happier. These blades cut straight ahead with no compensation, smooth on both sides so planning cut direction is not an issue. I am normally a interior detail cut project person so use a lot of 2/0 to size 3 blade person and these blades just don't wear out like some others. My best test of the blades was using a #5 to stack cut 1 1/2 inch oak Christmas Ornaments and was able to finish them with one blade.
The only downside to these blades is that they can be aggressive when cutting so need to have a light touch when doing detail work.
If you have a lot of cutting of thick wood to do, go for the Pegas blades, best I have used.

It's likely little over a year since I discovered Pegas Modified Geometry Blades, and they are now the only blades I buy and use. Ideal for everything I cut, from very fine cuts to large cuts, small holes to the complete outline of pieces. I don't have the luxury of buying all the dressed slim timbers that are available to many, so I need a blade that cuts thicker wood. I plane and dress my own after buying off saw timber. Just recently finished two 3/4" Sycamore Tree of Life plaques, and the MG blades sailed through it. Oak Ash and Elm have been used also.

I've been using the top rated "other" blades for years with good results. I had a complex monogram to cut out of birch for a project that was giving me fits, so I ordered the Pegas blades. When they arrived I made another try on the monogram, but first I made a couple of inside cuts with my usual blade (a new #5). Then I switched to a Pegas blade. It was like night and day and the monogram came out perfect....Or as well as my skill allows. These are great blades!

Upon recommendation of a friend, I decided to try the Pegas scroll saw blades. One would not think there is a difference from one brand to another---BUT, there is! I find with the Pegas blades, I can more easily cut a straight line. I've only been scrolling about a year, but have tried all sorts of brands. Pegas still seems to work the best for me. I have a moderately priced saw--NOT a high end one, but it works for me and the blades make a difference!

I bought the 4-size sample pack of 48 scroll saw blades for $21 plus shipping, a great price. I needed new blades for 3/4 inch thick hard maple into which I had to make inside curved openings. The #7 helped me complete the job cleanly and efficiently. I only used one Pegas blade for the whole job after breaking two old blades on the first of four complex openings in the hardwood. Good Product Bear Woods!

Recently purchase some Pegas Modified Geometry blades to try out. I wasn't happy with the brand I have been using. So far, I'm impressed with the Pegas blade. They seem to cut much cleaner, run cooler. I'm not burning blades like I had been. And they seem to stay sharper longer. If I continue to have this kind of good luck, I'll have a new blade to use! And they are less than 1/2 what I had been paying

You Pegas scroll saw blade chucks work fantastic. They make blade changes a lot easier because I donÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t have to tighten them near as much as the stock Dewalt chucks. IÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ve not had on blade slip out yet. They also reduced the vibrations. Delivery was super fast. I also have bought your Pegas modified blades, fantastic. Again super fast delivery. I read may descriptions to many styles of Scrollsaw blades before settling on the MG style.-based on my specific projects and experience with other Skiatook blades. These blades out performed their claim. I got many more inches of cutting out of them as compared to regular Skiatook blades.Plus the cut edge is practically printable without extensive sanding. A huge time saver!!

I bought the sample pack of the Pegas blades because I had heard so many praises of them. So far I am very satisfied with both the blades and Bear Woods. The blades work great. The #1 blade is very fine and hard to see so use a magnifying visor as it will make it easier if you have older eyes like I do. It was easy to order from Bear Woods. I will be back.

I notice a big difference in speed and cleanness of cut with the #3 blade. I am used to a little drift but this blade cuts straight. Had no trouble slicing thru a 1 inch piece of mahogany. I am looking forward to trying the other blades. I must say I am impressed.I have been scrolling for over 40 years and these blades have got me excited.

The blades came quicker than expected and very well boxed up. Have used #3,5,7. Love the #3 and #7 tons. I have a little trouble controlling #5 but I believe itâ€™s my inexperience that is the problem not the blade. Will definitely buy again. They have lasted through projects and donâ€™t dull as quick as my other set.

I've been using Olsen crown blades for a long time when I came across these blades. They are much cheaper than the Olsen blades. The finish from these blades is great. Perhaps just slightly below the Olsen blades, but for the price they are great! I will definitely purchase them again.

So far, initial tests look pretty good.

I ordered some Pegas blades after mixed results with another brand. The Pegas blades are awesome. I canâ€™t believe the difference. The only note Iâ€™d make is that delivery took quite a while so give lots of time. I donâ€™t believe itâ€™s their fault, but thatâ€™s what weâ€™re dealing with.

I started using the blades as soon as I got them. They are sharp and fast cutting. Seems easier to follow the line although it took some getting use to especially in cutting a straight line. I had to slow down in making 90 degree turns to keep a nice sharp corner. I like them.

They are great the 5 and 7 I had no problem with at all, the 1 and 3 are great as well it's just going to take a while to figure out what speed I need the saw set at, and I need to figure out what type of blades I need in the future and what blade is for what .

Used the #7 modified geometry blade to cut a pattern in two 3/4" red oak pieces glued together. No curves, all straight lines. Slow cutting but a very good result. Scroll cutting is a marathon not a speed race. Minimal fuzzies on the back side. Good blade.
