Mike is a two-time cancer survivor who fights for others as well.
"I am a 25-year hobby woodworker, a 52-year childhood and 9-year adult cancer survivor. Three years ago, I started my Woodworker vs. Cancer project where I “sell” all items I make for donations to my St. Jude fundraiser and have raised over $27K since doing that.
Two years ago, St. Jude sent a film crew to my shop to talk about my 50-year childhood cancer survivor story and how I’m using my hobby to raise money for childhood cancer. That’s when I got the idea to get others involved and started Makers for St. Jude in 2023 which has raised over $45K for childhood cancer in less than two years!"

I ordered a little battery-run clockwork and a set of hands. Initially, my order didn't come--I think it was probably delivered to the wrong place, which sometimes happens here in populous Brooklyn. I brought the issue to the company, and they made it right. Everything fit beautifully in the clock I was repairing, and the parts are better than what was there before--the new hands, for example, were metal as opposed to the plastic originals, and the clockwork itself is keeping excellent time, which was never a given with the original. Thank you very much, Bear Woods, for your reasonable, workable equipment and your quick response to my problem!
