Beautiful timepiece. Looks great, fits perfectly, and keeps accurate times. Iâ€™ve only had it a little over a month, so I canâ€™t speak about its durability. Since itâ€™s made by Seiko, my guess is it will last a long time. At the price, I feel Iâ€™ve already made my money back.

Clock insert is losing a minute or so every two weeks. Surprised, since it has a Seiko quartz movement. Could this be a problem with the battery? Or maybe just some unusual fault with the movement? Please advise.

It works nicely, although I did have to wrap it with electrical tape to make it stay in place in the opening in the craft item I had purchased many years ago.

Tips

Install a FRESH Duracell or Energizer Battery (But not a rechargeable type). In our experience, these are the only batteries that are reliable for clock mechanisms. If that doesn't work, also try a battery from a separate pack - this seems to help on many occasions too.

Our soft gasket mounting system allows you some flexibility about the size of the actual mounting hole. You can adapt these new inserts to a 1/8 inch larger hole size by removing the soft rubber gasket, and wrapping the back of the insert with plumbers Teflon tape or electrical tape to “build up” the back of these insert clocks. Then re install the soft rubber gasket to adapt to fit a larger mounting hole.
