Have a very old marble clock with an electric motor which died. Didn't care for it that much and thought about throwing it out. Instead I ordered a battery operated replacement for the clockworks. Required some creativity for it to fit in the hole in the marble. Now it looks better than the old electric clockworks ever did.

I was very pleased with the clock I purchased from Bear Woods.
It looks very good in the glass surround it fits in, better than the one it is replacing.
The only problem I had was fitting it in a 3-1/2" Dia recess, but I lined it with a foam strip and it fits inside quite good.

We needed an insert for a souvenir wall clock and found this. So far the time is spot on and it's really a pretty insert. I wrapped electrical tape around the back to help it fit into the bigger hole. Shipping was quick and I would purchase from Bear Woods again.

Tips

Install a FRESH Duracell or Energizer Battery (But not a rechargeable type). In our experience, these are the only batteries that are reliable for clock mechanisms. If that doesn't work, also try a battery from a separate pack - this seems to help on many occasions too.

Our soft gasket mounting system allows you some flexibility about the size of the actual mounting hole. You can adapt these new inserts to a 1/8 inch larger hole size by removing the soft rubber gasket, and wrapping the back of the insert with plumbers Teflon tape or electrical tape to “build up” the back of these insert clocks. Then re install the soft rubber gasket to adapt to fit a larger mounting hole.
