My existing mantel clock was supposed to auto-reset to and from the Daylight Savings Time change. But it seldom worked properly, and eventually the clock wouldn't function at all.

So, I wanted a "regular" clock to fit into that mantel clock base. Because wood clock base routings aren't identical, we had to do a bit of "fiddling" to get the clock to to fit into - and stay - in my base, but we "jerry-rigged" a solution using industrial-sticking-strength velcro strips! :-)

The outcome is that I'm very happy with how it looks and functions! The face is clear and time is easy to read. The silent sweep hand is an added bonus!

Thank you for carrying this product that kept me from having to purchase a whole new mantel clock!!!

I needed a 6" dia. clock to fit in to a 6" dia. hole - that is not what this was designed for and I understood that. I am pairing this clock with a 6" diameter thermometer to place in the headlight openings of a vintage Corvette headlight ring.
This unit fit the bill perfectly. 6" dia. clock inserts are hard to find and 6" clocks are a pain to disassemble and repurpose. I was delighted to find this!

This clock insert replaced one in my favorite clock that stopped working. The new insert popped right in with minimal work and is keeping perfect time. Thank you Bear Woods. I would have been heart broken if I couldn't find a replacement insert, which came within the promised time and in excellent condition.

Tips

Install a FRESH Duracell or Energizer Battery (But not a rechargeable type). In our experience, these are the only batteries that are reliable for clock mechanisms.
