This is a compact AA high torque motor that provides a quiet continuous sweep motion. Add one of our 10" second hands and up to 17-3/4" hour and minute hands.

I ordered the high torque motor for a rather large clock that needed to be repaired. It works beautifully. It's quiet, was easy to install, works with our huge clock, and Bear Woods did and excellent job of packaging it so was safe during shipping. Additionally it was very quickly shipped with great communication for the entire purchase.

Finally a clock mechanism that is truly silent. Tried a few from a very well known online retailer ( you know the one) because they were much cheaper but despite claiming to be silent they were not. This one is!! I'd rather pay more for a mechanism for a bedroom wall clock when quiet is of utmost importance. Keeps perfect time too.

This clock mechanism have been working for a week with a 100% perfection... not a sec. faster or slower than it should and it handles perfectly the increase in weight of the hands due to a couple of layers of white paint..!

The second had is easy to install and seems to function well. However, the design of the motor places the second hand and the minute hand so close together that they constantly hit each other.

Tips

Install a FRESH Duracell or Energizer Battery (But not a rechargeable type). In our experience, these are the only batteries that are reliable for clock mechanisms. Sometimes you will even try a separate pack as not all new packs have perfect batteries.
