- Hygrometers can help you understand things like the air in your home – if it is too dry you may experience dry skin or more static electricity, while high humidity can increase mold growth. - Hygrometers give relative humidity as a percentage. (eg. 20% humidity indicates a dry location)
- Hygrometers use a medical coil coated with chemically impregnated paper. Don’t ever touch this coil with your fingers. The bending of the coil causes the indicator to move as humidity changes.

I received my hygrometer on time, very securely packed, and in perfect condition. I have own a hygrometer which is digital and battery powered, and never one like this. There was no instruction that came with it, and I would have like to have some. I went to YouTube to discover that I need to calibrate it with a small tool, and so I shall follow one of those sites to do so. If at least it had come with something to tell me something about calibration of it, I would be enjoying it today. But I'll get there eventually thanks to YouTube, I hope.
