I couldn't be happier with the clockworks we got. We had an old wall clock that just died. I was able to measure the threads, stem, and hands and get the perfect match. Who knew there were so many different measurements! The item came quickly and my husband changed out the broken part. The price was reasonable as well. I would definitely recommend Bear Woods.

I needed a new clock "motor" so called & talked with their representative who helped me pick it out online. With the motor they include new clock hands as well. I'm a lady so I had difficulty getting the whole thing to work. I was sure I had the wrong parts!
When I called them back, their representative was so patient in explaining what to do to install the motor as well as the hands. I really appreciated that!
I would certainly do business with this company again. They couldn't be more knowledgeable or helpful!

Great products. Easy, exact replacement of a 25 year old movement. Website was very slow and clunky. I fiddled around for 15 minutes trying to figure out how to enter my shipping address before I figured out I was on a web page for Canadian customers only. ????? I eventually found the web page for US customers, but I had to enter everything again. Maybe provide some guidance on this up front? When the parts arrived, I had the clock running again in 1/10 the time it took me to place the order.

I needed a bunch of quarts works to put together some bisque clocks.

they had everything I needed..got everything in a timely manner and I actually had one that had a defect when I got it..
.I called them they sent it right out and I got it within a couple days and I would order from them again hands down. I used to order from anothet distributor and these were are a better product and better price

I have used these for many years making clocks. They are easy to install and must be long lasting since I have never had a return.
I have had problems lately trying to screw on the brass nut that holds the movement in place. The threads on the nut may not be cut properly or perhaps not deeply enough. I used to be able to thread them on by hand but find more and more often I have to use pliers.

The first 3/8" clock mechanism I received arrived a couple of days early, but didn't work. When I emailed to get a replacement, they asked me to double-check a couple of things, which I did. When it still didn't work, they sent me another one which arrived in just a few days. I was very happy with the customer service and would recommend this company to anyone.

Great products and super prices.

I purchased the clock works which included hour/minute hands. I also bought the optional seconds hand which was only $0.75. Another seller wanted almost $9 (!) for the seconds hand.

Support was also quick to reply to a question I had prior to purchase.

The clock movements were delivered quickly and well packed. Movements work well but do seem to have a bit of "slop" in the time setting mechanism. I got 3 movements with this order and they all behave similarly so this is a manufacturing feature of the clock movements. Worked great for my application.

A very nice little clock! They fit very nicely into the four Honduran Rosewood bodies and thru the hand carved leather faces. It is a perfect clock for the job! The brass hands gave the clocks a very classic appearance. I will order the same model clock for the next clock projects.

I received my clocks in time for a big show, and I noticed that some of the motion dials on the backs of the movements have fallen off. I thought pressing them back on was the answer, but they fell off again; and I had to replace the entire movement when I sold the clock.

Just the right parts needed. Fits the face of our Teracotta outdoor clock much better than generic parts put in a few years ago Tom a box store. The hands stuck out about .5Ã¢â‚¬Â from the face of the clock. Now they are closer and the clock looks like new again.

Tips

Install a FRESH Duracell or Energizer Battery (But not a rechargeable type). In our experience, these are the only batteries that are reliable for clock mechanisms. Sometimes you will even try a separate pack as not all new packs have perfect batteries.
